Following the misunderstanding with the premature release of the eighth large patch for the fantasy role -playing game Baldur’s Gate 3, developers from the Larian Studios reported the promised stress testing of the update.
Tests started on PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X and S (you need to be in the Xbox Insider program). The chosen users who submitted the application through the Larian website (authorization are required) were allowed to participate.
«The lucky ones ”has already come an appropriate letter to e -mail, and those who have not received admission, Larian calls not to despair – they are going to send invitations in waves.
The eighth patch promises to bring cross-play between all platforms, a photo mode, 12 subclasses (one for each class) and much more. Developers want to check innovations and their compatibility with mods.
After turning on the cross -man in the menu, players will be able to create cross -platform lobbies and join the strangers (the owner of the session at the PC should have no more than 100 established mods). The video instruction from Larian is attached.
In addition to the previously confirmed improvements, the eighth large patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 will also include the function of the separated screen in the multiplayer session on the Xbox Series S – during testing you can test it.
The test version of the eighth patch is planned to be corrected and improved, and the release is expected in 2025. This major update will be the last for Baldur’s Gate 3, since Larian is already “completely focused” in the new game.
