The story about the sci-fi shooter Titanfall 3, which is in development at Respawn Entertainment, has been continued, spread by dataminers Yorotsuki and Osvaldatore from the Apex Legends community.

As a reminder, last week Yorotsuki and Osvaldatore announced that Titanfall 3 would not be revealed until December (potentially at The Game Awards 2025) and was supposedly scheduled for release in 2026.

According to Osvaldatore, Titanfall 3 is nearly complete, is based on Unreal Engine 5, and is a game-as-a-service with a single-player campaign, extraction mode (the main one), and battle passes.

Titanfall 3 will also allegedly feature a “weather system,” “all the classic modes from Titanfall 2,” team deathmatch, objective control, Arenas, and some characters from Apex Legends.

Giant Bomb journalist Jeff Grubb recently called on the GameBreaking News podcast to disbelieve the rumors about the imminent announcement and release of Titanfall 3: “It’s not true. I’m sorry, but it’s not true.”

«”Don’t expect Titanfall 3 to run on Unreal Engine 5, with a single-player campaign, multiplayer, and a weather system (whatever that means). Not sure where this came from, but… Don’t get your hopes up for Titanfall anytime soon,” Grubb advised.

The reporter added that a small team led by Titanfall duology director Steve Fukuda at Respawn is working on a project that potentially features titans, but that game is still several years away from release.
