Developers from Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Santa Monica studio have adjusted fans’ expectations for the event dedicated to the upcoming 20th anniversary of the God of War slasher series.

Let us recall that at the end of February, the Nucleus company announced plans to hold an exhibition dedicated to the anniversary in the American city of Alhambra (California) from March 15 to 23.

As it became known, the exhibition will include a panel discussion with the participation of the actors who voiced the God of War games, including the actor who played Kratos in the original trilogy, Terrence Carson.

Santa Monica Studio, amid “such a star-studded lineup and excitement around the anniversary,” was quick to clarify that “no announcements are planned for this event.”

The discussion will take place on March 22, the 20th anniversary of the original God of War

Rumors that Sony Interactive Entertainment was preparing announcements for re-releases of the Greek saga God of War emerged last fall and flared up again in the run-up to the February State of Play broadcast, but have yet to be confirmed.

Giant Bomb journalist Jeff Grubb recently claimed that the God of War remaster rumors were “a bit hasty” and that the announcements will come closer to the anniversary. Apparently not at the Nucleus show.

Kratos’ Greek saga includes the first three numbered God of War games and the prequel Ascension, as well as two portable games from the now-defunct Ready at Dawn studio, Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta.
