Something between Fallout: New Vegas and Prey: first screenshots and details of a retrofuturistic action-RPG from the team of the co-creator of Dishonored

Following the recent teaser, developers from WolfEye Studios (Weird West), led by Dishonored and Prey co-creator Raphael Colantonio, presented the first screenshots of their next game.

Let us remember that at the GDC 2024 conference in March the project was positioned as a retrofuturistic first-person RPG, and the other day Colantonio said that the game would make fans of Dishonored and Prey happy.

In the press release and interview that accompanied the publication of the first screenshots, Colantonio calls the game an action-RPG with all the exemplary role-playing elements such as characteristics, choice of dialogue lines and leveling.

The as-yet-untitled WolfEye game will take place in early 20th-century America, where about 30 years before the story, a major event “like crazy future technology” sent the world on an alternative course.

According to Colantonio, WolfEye’s new game falls between Fallout: New Vegas and Prey in terms of scale and open design: “We prioritize density [of the world] over size.”

WolfEye is preparing a game based on “an ambitious new IP built on the DNA of Arkane [Studios’] past titles.” They promise a rich and detailed world, freedom of play and a deep role-playing experience.

Wolfeye’s new action RPG has only recently entered active development. In 2025, the studio plans to conduct a closed alpha test – you can declare your interest through a form on the official website.
