Post-apocalyptic open-world shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl from the GSC Game World studio has not even been released yet, and has already received a huge update almost the size of the game itself.

Let us remind you that the Xbox version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl became available for pre-download on November 13th, requiring 146 GB to play. Following this, a hefty 16 GB patch was released for the shooter.
As now reported by pre-loaded S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl on Xbox, the day before release the game received another update, significantly larger than the previous one – its size is 138.9 GB.

In other words, preloaded S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl on Xbox, in fact, you will have to download the game again – the patch replaces existing files, and does not “pull up” 139 GB of new ones.
So, according to user SpookyCarnage on the Reddit forum, after installing a large-scale update, the total size of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl shrunk from 146 to 143.9 GB.
