“Simply absurd attention to detail”: fans were impressed by the comparison between Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Kuttenberg and the real thing

Developers Warhorse Studios boast about the level of authenticity in the open-world action RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s depiction of the Middle Ages, but how does the game’s main city compare to the real thing?

The IGN portal, as part of the IGN First section, published a video comparing the modern Czech city of Kutna Hora with Kuttenberg, its version of the 15th century, presented in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

The four-minute video, posted on IGN’s YouTube channel, shows a selection of locations in Kuttenberg from Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and how they look in Kutna Hora after the last 600 years.

Viewers in the comments to the video appreciated the efforts of the developers of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 to reproduce the medieval image of Kutna Hora. “The attention to detail is just absurd,” says ekofever827.

One of the most popular examples of the diligence of the creators of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 in the comments was a building built during the time of Kuttenberg (at 3:16), which 600 years later in Kutna Hora is still under construction.

For those who haven’t had time to see enough of Kuttenberg from the game, IGN recently, with the participation of Warhorse Studios art director Viktor Höschl, organized a virtual tour of the city.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be released on February 4, 2025 on PC (Steam, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Along with the recent story trailer, Warhorse has finally revealed the game’s system requirements.
