The post-apocalyptic open-world shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will receive the first post-release patch, as the developers from the GSC Game World studio released the second.
Let us remember that while update 1.0.1, released on November 29, fixed more than 650 bugs, the list of changes in version 1.0.2, which debuted the next day, is much shorter.
In particular, the developers have eliminated bugs (including critical ones) in six story missions, and also corrected even more EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors.
Most of the fixes to the story missions listed below are related to errors due to the non-standard order of the player completing assigned tasks or the strange appearance of NPCs.
Main quests that have received improvements (no spoilers):
The developers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl thanked the players for their support and assured that they are already working on future updates. In the coming patches, the team promised to fix the A-Life system.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was released on November 20 on PC (Steam, GOG, Microsoft Store, EGS), Xbox Series X and S, and Game Pass. Total sales of the game in the first two days after release exceeded 1 million copies.
