Recall that last summer the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that Olympic e -sports games will be held in Saudi Arabia.
According to Sportbusiness, game publishers and international federations who have submitted an application for participation in the event last fall (in November) expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of preparation for competitions.
It is reported that the organizers of the Olympic e -sports games have not yet decided on the key features of the competition, including the program, the list of games, the capital and the athletes qualification process.

As noted in Sportbusiness, the Winter Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games are already planned for 2026, so the most likely option for the Olympic e-sports games can be 2027.
The IOC has not yet made any official statements on this subject, but if you believe Sportbusiness, international federations can notify changes in the coming months.
Earlier it was reported that the IOC is interested in attracting truly popular e -sports disciplines: negotiations were conducted about the participation of Rocket League, Street Fighter and League of Legends.
