Let’s recall that the last time Capcom updated the data on the results of the reimagining of Resident Evil 4 was last winter: in the second half of December 2024, the game had 9 million copies, and at the end of the month – 9.2 million.

As it became known, by now the total global sales of the Resident Evil 4 remake on all target platforms have already exceeded 10 million copies. The announcement was accompanied by a thank-you video.

As for the new record for the series, until recently the fastest game in the franchise to reach 10 million copies sold was Resident Evil Village, which in turn surpassed the result of the Resident Evil 2 remake.

Resident Evil Village reached the 10 million copies sold milestone in three years and one month, while the Resident Evil 4 remake reached the coveted milestone a little over two years after its release.

In a press release, Capcom mentions that Resident Evil games have sold over 167 million copies. Resident Evil 7 and the Resident Evil 2 remake have each sold 15 million, Resident Evil Village has sold 11 million, and the Resident Evil 3 remake has sold 10 million.

The remake of Resident Evil 4 was released on March 24, 2023 on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and on December 20 it reached the iPhone 15 Pro, iPad and Mac. After release, the game received the Mercenaries mode, the Separate Ways add-on, and a VR mode.
