Remedy hid a Control 2 teaser in Alan Wake 2: The Lake House – players found it

Fans assumed that the recently released addition “The Lake House” to the horror Alan Wake 2 from the Finnish studio Remedy Entertainment could become a teaser for Control 2. And so, it seems, it turned out to be the case in the end.

Let us remind you that The Lake House offers, in the role of an agent of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBK) from Control, to investigate what happened at the FBK research station near Lake Cauldron and look at the events of Alan Wake 2 through the eyes of the FBK.

Alan Wake 2 shares a world with Control – the games are united in a single Remedy universe, and, apparently, in The Lake House the studio has lifted the veil of secrecy over the future of the franchise. There may be spoilers ahead.

Towards the end of The Lake House, the main character of the add-on, FBK agent Kieran Estevez, ends up in the Oldest House (the location of Control), in the Panopticon of which she meets Dylan.

Dylan is an important character in Control and the brother of the game’s protagonist Jessie Faden. Meeting him at The Lake House triggers a mysterious 20-second clip (see video below) that fans and journalists interpreted as a teaser for Control 2.

The chaotic video shows several locations, apparently in the real world, and a scene in the astral dimension, and also indicates the presence of Polaris, an otherworldly entity living in Jessie and guiding her.

Control 2 has not been fully announced, but is actively being developed – the project has reached a state of readiness for full production. Annapurna will help finance the Remedy game.
