PlayStation and Kojima Productions to Host Special Presentation of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach

On the eve of the next episode of the State of Play program, the publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment announced a new presentation of the courier action game Death Stranding 2: On The Beach from the Japanese studio Kojima Productions.

As it became known, the developers of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach will take part in the upcoming American festival SXSW 2025, which will be held in the Texas city of Austin from March 7 to 15.

The special event dedicated to the game at SXSW 2025 is called PlayStation Presents Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Special Panel. It starts on March 10 at 1:00 Moscow time.

During the event, Kojima Productions CEO Hideo Kojima will discuss Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and share new details about the project. You can follow the discussion as it unfolds via a live stream.

Death Stranding 2-themed merchandise to be revealed at SXSW 2025

The press release for the Death Stranding 2: On The Beach presentation at SXSW 2025 also confirmed that the game is still expected to release in 2025 exclusively on PS5.

It was previously reported that the release date for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach would be revealed in 2025. It’s entirely possible that this could happen at SXSW 2025 or even at the upcoming State of Play.

The new State of Play will take place on the night of February 12-13 (starting at 1:00 Moscow time) and will include 40 minutes of news about PS5 games. Kojima recently hinted at preparing to release a new trailer for one of his projects.
