Players have trashed the Starfield: Shattered Space expansion on Steam – reviews have already become “mostly negative”

Over the past year since its release, the space role-playing game Starfield from Bethesda Game Studios has not emerged from the abyss of “mixed” reviews on Steam, and things have gone even worse for its recently released add-on Shattered Space.

Let us remind you that the release of Shattered Space took place on September 30. The first days after its release, the add-on had the same “mixed” reviews as the main game, but as PCGamesN noted, now the reviews have become “mostly negative.”

As of the time of publication, of the 2.6 thousand Shattered Space reviews left by Steam users (including purchases outside the Valve service), only 31% are positive.

Customers are complaining about the dull storyline, poor dialogue quality, lack of new features, and generally little content considering the add-on’s price ($30) is almost half the price of Starfield ($70).

Users urge other gamers not to spend money on Shattered Space, accuse Bethesda of selling content cut from the main game, and also recall comparisons between the company and the Far Harbor addon for Fallout 4.

Meanwhile, the rating of Shattered Space on the aggregator website Metacritic is only 62% (57% on Xbox and 67% on PC). Critics noted the high cost, abundance of bugs and relatively small amount of content.

Starfield: Shattered Space is available on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X and S. The DLC sends players to the city of Dazra on the planet Va’ruun’kai to uncover the secrets of House Va’ruun, a religious cult that worships the Great Serpent.
