Peter Molyneux announced Masters of Albion – a god simulator with elements of Fable and Black & White, where you can “create anything”

From the stage of the Opening Night Live 2024 show, the creator of Black & White and Fable, Peter Molyneux, unexpectedly announced the next game from his studio 22cans – the god simulator Masters of Albion.

The events of Masters of Albion will unfold in Albion. Magic returns to the world, threatening to destroy the foundations of society. Players will have to unravel the mystery of the magicians, defeat the enemy hiding in the shadows and conquer the magic that could destroy everyone.

Albion is the oldest name for the British Isles, as well as the name of the continent where the Fable games take place. Molyneux is aware of this and hopes (he doesn’t know for sure) that the word Albion cannot be copyrighted.

In the two-minute trailer for Masters of Albion from Opening Night Live 2024, they showed how during the day the player controls his own settlement with a divine hand, and at night he protects it from attacks by monsters (trolls, zombies, werewolves).

They promise the ability to “create anything” (food, clothes, armor, weapons), the option of direct control of characters (people, chickens) with third-person gameplay, leveling up heroes, an innovative construction system and a rich open world.

The new release is positioned as a hybrid of the ideas of Dungeon Keeper, Black & White and Fable, but users also saw similarities between Masters of Albion and the NFT simulator Legacy from 22cans, in which Molyneux sold $54 million worth of in-game land.

Masters of Albion has been confirmed for PC (Steam) and has no release date. Unlike Molyneux’s latest projects, the new game is being created with the money of the developer himself. It involves members of the Dungeon Keeper, Black & White and Fable teams.
