“One of the coolest guest characters in the history of MK”: players were delighted with the gameplay trailer for Conan the Barbarian in Mortal Kombat 1

Publisher: Warner Bros. Games and developers from NetherRealm Studios have revealed the release date of the next fighter from the Kombat Pack 2 for the fighting game Mortal Kombat 1 – Conan the Barbarian. The announcement was accompanied by a brutal gameplay trailer.

In the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 expansion, the Cimmerian warrior will appear as Arnold Schwarzenegger from the 1982 film Conan the Barbarian to defend Earthrealm from those who encroach on it.

As it turned out, for owners of Kombat Pack 2 or the Khaos Reigns add-on, the new fighter will become available on January 21, and Conan the Barbarian can be purchased separately from the 28th.

Conan the Barbarian’s devastating moveset is built around the legendary sword Atlas. As a master of the blade, the fighter is capable of performing complex attacks, including blade spin and his signature overhead slash.

The three-minute video also reveals one of Conan’s terrifying fatalities and includes a teaser of his animality – as part of this finishing move, the character turns into an animal (or insect).

Users in the comments were pleasantly surprised by the trailer, praising the character’s voice acting and the authenticity of the animations with the sword. “One of the coolest guest characters in MK history,” says ASwagPecan.

Following Conan the Barbarian, the T-1000 Terminator will be added to Mortal Kombat 1 from Kombat Pack 2. There’s no release date, but we do have a first look at the fighter from the recent Pro Kompetition Season 2 trailer (see clip below).
