As a reminder, in its February earnings report, Electronic Arts said the next Battlefield is scheduled to launch in fiscal year 2026, which is between April 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026.
As it became known from the new document, the plan remains in force. In addition, Electronic Arts confirmed its intention to hold a full presentation of the new Battlefield this summer.
«“We are confident in our ability to deliver a rich pipeline of games, starting with the hotly anticipated announcement of Battlefield this summer, a key step in creating next-generation blockbusters,” said EA CEO Andrew Wilson.
Meanwhile, the Battlefield Labs program, launched in February to test the next Battlefield, is preparing to expand: in May, the developers will invite more players from Europe, North America and now also Asia.
The test sessions so far have helped the team lay a “solid foundation” for smooth and responsive shooting, find the right balance in movement speed, and use destruction to create fun and tactical gameplay.
The new release is positioned by EA as “the biggest Battlefield in history”: the shooter is being invested with the largest resources in the history of the franchise. The game is being made by four studios – DICE, Motive, Criterion and Ripple Effect.
