Publisher Bandai Namco and developers from the Japanese studio FromSoftware reported new sales successes for their open-world fantasy RPG Elden Ring.

Recall that in the first 12 months since its release, Elden Ring sales exceeded 20 million copies. Last summer, the figure reached 25 million units, and at the time of Elden Ring Nightreign’s announcement in December, it was 28.6 million.
As it became known, since then Elden Ring has recorded almost one and a half million units to its account, bringing the total audience of the game to 30 million people – the Extinguished. The project is not available in any subscriptions, so the result is equal to sales.
«Dear Extinguished, we are deeply grateful for your continued loyalty. May the golden light of Grace forever guide your path,” the official Elden Ring microblog addressed the players.
Elden Ring was released on February 25, 2022 on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. The game received high marks from critics and gamers, and also won the main prize at The Game Awards 2022.
More than two years after its release, on June 21, 2024, Elden Ring received a large-scale story expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree. The expansion sold 5 million copies in the first three days after its release.
As for Elden Ring Nightreign, the multiplayer spin-off of Elden Ring will be released on May 30. Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, an expanded edition of the game for Nintendo Switch 2, will also be released before the end of 2025.
