Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer Hints at Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Sequel

MachineGames’ action-adventure Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which was released in late 2024, was a pleasant surprise, but will the game get a sequel? Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer hints that it will.

Let us recall that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle earned rave reviews from the press and users, and in less than two months since its release attracted more than 4 million players, including those who tried the project with a Game Pass subscription.

In a recent conversation with Variety, the interviewer asked Spencer if Microsoft has any plans for Indiana Jones beyond last year’s release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and the game’s recent PS5 port.

In other words, the executive didn’t directly confirm plans for a sequel to Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, but he did make it clear that the door is at least open for future Indiana Jones adventures.

While the sequel’s future remains unclear, MachineGames is known to be working on The Order of Giants expansion for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, with the expansion expected to be released in 2025.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was released on December 9, 2024, on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X, S, and Game Pass, and on April 17, it made its way to PS5. The Sony console version earned 88% on Metacritic.
