Microsoft Confirms First Xbox Games Showcase 2025 Details, Announces The Outer Worlds 2 Showcase

Publisher and developer Microsoft has officially confirmed the next Xbox Games Showcase, and also announced a full reveal of one of its upcoming exclusives.

As it became known, Xbox Games Showcase 2025 will begin on June 8 at 20:00 Moscow time. You can follow the event in more than 40 languages ​​via YouTube, Twitch and other services.

The digital show will include a look at upcoming games from Microsoft’s internal studios as well as its partners around the world. In 2025, the Xbox Games Showcase will be held exclusively digitally.

Following the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, similar to the Starfield Direct and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct in previous years, there will be a Direct series show, this time dedicated to the satirical RPG The Outer Worlds 2 from Obsidian Entertainment.

«The Outer Worlds 2 Direct will take you inside Obsidian Entertainment and reveal new gameplay, details, and insights from the developers of the sequel to the award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG,” Microsoft teases.

Throughout the week following Xbox Games Showcase 2025, additional details and breakdowns of games from the show will be posted on the Xbox Wire blog, The Official Xbox Podcast, and the Xbox YouTube channel.

The Outer Worlds 2 will be released in 2025 on PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and Game Pass. The first gameplay trailer for the project was shown at The Game Awards 2024 in December (attached above).
