According to Grigorovich, one of the main tasks in developing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was to give the player as much freedom as possible. For example, behaving as cruelly as possible – this line of behavior will have its pros and cons.
Grigorovich added that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 encourages the user to explore the Zone. A significant portion of the content is located outside of specific locations, in the middle of the open world.
Representatives from Digital Foundry and The Verge also praised the technical state of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. demo. 2. On Xbox Series X, the game runs at 60 frames/s and pleasantly surprises with image quality.
As a result of the recent transfer, the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is now expected not on September 5, but on November 20 this year. The game is being created for PC (Steam, GOG, EGS, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X, S and Game Pass.
