As promised, on December 10, on the fourth anniversary of Cyberpunk 2077, the Polish studio CD Projekt Red shared details of a major update 2.2 for the game, including its release date, during a broadcast from the RedStreams series.

Cyberpunk 2077 has not had a separate support team for several months now, so patch 2.2 for the game was created in collaboration with the Virtuous studio (helps, for example, with the development of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater).
According to CD Projekt Red, update 2.2 will allow Cyberpunk 2077 players to express themselves “like never before” with additional personalization options, a redesigned photo mode, and more.
Changing the color of the car will allow, for example, to deceive the police and lower the wanted level
Main changes in patch 2.2:
Among other things, we fixed a number of bugs in quests and the open world, fixed the animation of cutting off a head with a katana, increased performance (up to 33%) on Intel Arrow Lake processors, and so on (see the full list of changes).
As for the release date of update 2.2, you won’t have to wait long for the release: the patch is already available on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox Series X and S for all Cyberpunk 2077 owners.
CD Projekt Red did not specify whether 2.2 (another) will be the last major update for Cyberpunk 2077, but during the broadcast they hinted that they still had “a surprise or two” in store for players.
