“Looks like the work of the Dwemer”: the Skyrim World of Tanks mod turned the cult RPG from Bethesda into “World of Tanks”

For those who are tired of fantasy battles in the world of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, modder MixedMartialArtist has prepared something completely different – tank battles in the spirit of World of Tanks.

The Skyrim World of Tanks mod, published by MixedMartialArtist on Nexus Mods, offers you to take control of a tank, become an army commander and take part in “the greatest tank battles of all time.”

According to MixedMartialArtist, the mod fills Skyrim with “endless epic battles”, action and chaos as the armies of both sides (apparently the US and USSR) fight their way into enemy territory using infantry and armored vehicles.

In addition to tanks, the player will have an extensive arsenal at his disposal to destroy the enemy, including a wide selection of firearms, missiles, bombs, artillery and so on.

You can form your own army with tanks in fortresses, but if desired, Dovahkiin can subjugate any patrol that comes to hand – the soldiers will follow the player.

The release of Skyrim World of Tanks was accompanied by the publication of two short (one and a half minutes each; attached above) gameplay videos demonstrating the scope of the modification’s ambitions.

Nexus Mods and YouTube users were delighted with Skyrim World of Tanks. In the comments there are jokes about the mod’s compliance with the game’s lore and the involvement of the Dwemer in what is happening. “It looks like the work of the Dwemer,” notes Lychee_Witch.
