The developers from Larian Studios clarified the situation that the day before led to the unintentional release of the eighth large patch for fantasy role -playing Baldur’s Gate 3.

According to the creators of Baldur’s Gate 3, the error occurred on the side of the partners (probably about Sony) in preparation for the start of the promised stress testing of the future update.

As a result, a number of PS5 users in Europe and Asia received a temporary (several hours) access to the eighth patch. The leak has already been “shut up” – you can’t download an erroneous version.

The version released by chance is not supported and will not receive corrections and updates up to the official release. Users will also not be able to play in multiplayer with those who are still “stuck” in the seventh patch.

The conservation made on the eighth patch is incompatible with the current version now (and potentially with release assembly of the update). In addition, an unintentional upgrade can break mods and lead to productivity problems.

The version number is indicated in the lower right corner of the main menu and should be lower than 01.800.000 / 4.1.1.6583053 (image source: Eurogamer)

Early access to the eighth patch on the PS5 does not guarantee a pass to closed stress renewal testing – the invitations will be expelled by waves. According to Larian, the tests will start this week.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on PC and Mac in Steam and GOG, PS5, Xbox Series X and S. The eighth patch should be the last major update for the game and bring with you a photo of theorem, cross -graces, 12 new subclasses and not only.
