American publisher and developer Tripwire Interactive, which revealed the exact release date of its cooperative horror shooter Killing Floor 3 at the end of January, has decided to postpone the game to a later date.

Let us recall that Tripwire planned to release Killing Floor 3 on March 25 of this year. Following the announcement (from February 20 to 24), a closed beta took place, following which the developers received a lot of feedback.
As it became known, the release of Killing Floor 3 on March 25 will not take place – the game has been postponed indefinitely in 2025. Tripwire noted that it went for the postponement with the full support of its parent company (Embracer Group).
The delay was the result of feedback from beta participants. The delay will allow for improvements to areas that players have complained about the most, including stability and performance, lighting, UI, and weapon feel.
The developers are not sure that they will have time to implement the listed improvements before the release (the choice of class perk and character will be made separate after the release), and are waiting for the opportunity to demonstrate a more polished version of the game.
«Our goal is to not only make Killing Floor 3 an ambitious step forward for the franchise, but also to maintain the core gameplay experience you know and love,” Tripwire Interactive assured.
Killing Floor 3 is being developed for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. As a result of the transfer, users who have already pre-ordered the game can expect a refund.
