As Insider Gaming reports, in the time since the last show, impatient fans began to worry that Ubisoft could have quietly canceled the Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell remake, but reports: this is not the case.
According to Insider Gaming sources, the development of the Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell remake is progressing well – the project is progressing. Informants also revealed the code name of the game – North.
Insider Gaming’s interlocutors call the expected release date for the reimagining of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell to be 2026, but sources did not want to vouch for this information.
A remake of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell has been confirmed for December 2021. The game is being created from scratch using the Snowdrop engine (Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Star Wars Outlaws) and will offer non-linear locations and a plot rewritten “for a modern audience.”
Splinter Cell was released in November 2002 on Xbox, and subsequently on PC, PS2 and Nintendo GameCube. The game follows Third Echelon operative Sam Fisher as he must prevent war between the United States and China.
