Journalists found indirect confirmation that Hogwarts Legacy 2 is already being developed and will become a service game

Open-world action RPG Hogwarts Legacy from Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software clearly earned themselves a sequel – the game became the best-selling in 2023 worldwide. It looks like a sequel is already in production.

The Game Rant portal drew attention to a vacancy for a producer recently posted on the Avalanche Software website, which, according to journalists, contains indirect confirmation of the studio’s work on Hogwarts Legacy 2.

Avalanche Software’s next project, judging by the job description, will be another open-world action RPG. The producer would also benefit from experience working on a game with an “action/magical combat system.”

While the description mentioned may not apply to the Hogwarts Legacy-related game, Avalanche Software’s size (250 people, according to LinkedIn), Game Rant emphasized, does not allow the studio to handle two large projects at the same time.

Marvel insider MyTimetoShineHello claimed last fall that a Hogwarts Legacy sequel was already in the works, although there has been no official comment on the matter.

The job posting for senior producer also mentions that Avalanche Software’s upcoming open-world action RPG will feature service game elements that were not present in the original Hogwarts Legacy.
