At Apple’s September presentation called It’s Glowtime, there was a place not only for the hardware and AI innovations of the latest iPhone 16 smartphone, but also for the gaming capabilities of the device.
IPhone 16 is powered by the new 3nm A18 processor, which, coupled with additional thermal optimizations, delivers 30% more performance than the A16 Bionic in iPhone 15.
A18 has support for hardware ray tracing (can be seen, for example, in War Thunder Mobile), which works up to five times faster than software and produces more reliable sun glare on water and realistic shadows.
- Resident Evil Village;
- Resident Evil 4 remake;
- The remake of Resident Evil 2, which has not yet been released on the iPhone 15 Pro;
- Death Stranding;
- Sniper Elite 4.
Apple has confirmed that Honor of Kings: World will be released on iPhone 16. The new smartphone promises an “Ultra” graphics mode (higher resolution, advanced lighting and increased draw distance) and the ultimate mobile experience.
Honor of Kings: World is an open world action RPG from Tencent. The game was announced back in the fall of 2021 and until now it had neither target platforms nor release dates. Release on iPhone 16 is expected in 2025.
The gaming segment of the iPhone 16 presentation ended with bold statements that the device will “raise smartphone gaming to new heights” and “take mobile gaming to a new level.”
