As predicted by insider Tom Henderson, the first closed testing of the next game in the series of military shooters Battlefield took place on March 7. Leaks from test participants were not long in coming.

Although those invited to the trials (which are part of the Battlefield Labs program) were prohibited from recording and streaming gameplay, some players did just that during the session.
Following the end of the playtest, social networks and, in particular, the Reddit forum were flooded with gameplay excerpts from testing the new Battlefield, including the five-minute video attached below.
Users can also check out a 45-second segment of running around the map and killing one enemy, a 14-second segment of riding a tank, and another 14-second segment demonstrating the destruction system.
In addition, right during the session, a Twitch user under the pseudonym anto_merguezz managed to go live with gameplay of the test version of the next Battlefield. The happiness, however, did not last long (the recording was not saved).
Although the beta version of the new Battlefield is far from final (there are graphical bugs and technical problems), the gameplay has inspired fans. “It looks damn cool,” shared Delicious_Age_2476.
The upcoming Battlefield is being billed as the “biggest ever”: the shooter is being invested with the most resources by franchise standards. Development has reached pre-alpha, and the release is expected no later than March 31, 2026.
