Inzoi creators caught using Denuvo — the most desired game on Steam will be released without the scandalous protection

The developers of the ambitious life simulator Inzoi from the Inzoi Studio team (owned by Krafton) commented on the concerns of the fan community about the presence of Denuvo anti-piracy protection in the game.

While there is no warning about Denuvo’s presence on Inzoi’s Steam page, the protection has surfaced in a new demo of the game, raising concerns among fans about the simulator’s performance and mod-friendliness.

Inzoi director and producer Kim Hyungjun confirmed in a message to fans that the team intended to equip the game with Denuvo for anti-hacking purposes, and therefore used the system in Inzoi: Creative Studio.

At the same time, the developers “underestimated the community’s views and expectations regarding Inzoi” and also failed to communicate the use of Denuvo in advance, which Hyunjun called a mistake.

Inzoi developers understand that removing Denuvo “may create risks of unauthorized modifications”

According to Hyunjun, the use of Denuvo does not fit with the team’s philosophy of putting the player first, which is why the developers decided to remove anti-piracy protection from the early access version of Inzoi.

«”I apologize once again for the concerns and confusion that have arisen due to our misjudgment of the situation. We will continue to listen, learn, and improve,” Hyunjun assured.

Inzoi’s early access starts on March 28, 2025 on Steam. The project will receive official mod support in the May update, and the developers intend to expand it in the future. The game recently became the most desired on Steam.
