Let us recall that the other day Nate the Hate and the Video Games Chronicle portal claimed that the announcement of the updated The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion would be made in the coming weeks, and the release would take place before June (according to journalists, in April).

As Nate the Hate specified, the remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be presented and released in April: “The gap between the announcement and the release will be minimal. It is possible [to be released immediately after the presentation].”

When asked if an Oblivion remake might appear during the Switch 2 special Nintendo Direct on April 2, Nate the Hate said no.

Firstly, the insider hasn’t heard anything about the Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and secondly, the remake’s announcement is not expected in the same week as the Nintendo Direct.

Notably, Skyblivion, an unofficial remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion powered by The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is also set for release in 2025. The mod has been in the works for over 11 years.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion debuted on March 20, 2006 on PC and Xbox 360. The official remake is rumored to feature Unreal Engine 5 graphics and significant gameplay improvements.
