Insider: Pre-orders and release date announcement for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach are closer than ever

Reliable insider billbil-kun from the Dealabs portal, who predicted the official title of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach before its announcement, shared the plans of PlayStation and Kojima Productions for the further promotion of the game.

According to billbil-kun, “all signs” point to an upcoming Death Stranding 2: On The Beach release date announcement. The insider mentioned the American SXSW 2025 festival as a venue for the announcement.

Let us remind you that Sony and Kojima Productions will hold a presentation dedicated to the game, PlayStation Presents Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Special Panel, as part of SXSW 2025. It will start on March 10 at 0:00 Moscow time (the broadcast player is available at the link).

According to informants billbil-kun, pre-orders for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach should start before the end of March. Usually, the opportunity to buy the game opens after the announcement of its release date.

The standard digital and retail editions of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach for PS5 will cost $70. A Collector’s Edition will also be released in Europe and North America for $230 (its contents are unknown).

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is a courier action game. According to the plot, Sam Bridges will have to save humanity from extinction again, this time establishing connections between people outside the United States.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is expected to release in 2025. While the game is only confirmed for PS5, the original Death Stranding eventually came out not only on Sony consoles, but also on PC and even Xbox.
