Giant Bomb journalist Jeff Grubb has clarified the release dates for the much-rumored remake of the cult fantasy RPG The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion from Bethesda Game Studios on the GameBreaking News podcast.

Recall that last week Grubb claimed that the still-unconfirmed remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion could be released “at any point” in April, without prior announcement.
According to Grubb’s sources, the premiere (announcement and release) of the updated version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will take place during the last week of the month, that is, from April 21 to 27.
Grubb’s information is consistent with other sources. For example, insider Nate the Hate recently reported that the announcement and release of the updated The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will take place in the second half of the month.

Meanwhile, Cosmic221646J on the social network X last week got the official Bethesda account (albeit tech support) to comment on a potential Oblivion remake.
«”We have no official information regarding the Oblivion remake. We apologize for any confusion,” Bethesda Support responded to the user.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion debuted on March 20, 2006 on PC and Xbox 360. The remake is expected to be developed by Virtuos Studios using Unreal Engine 5 and will feature improvements to at least six gameplay systems.
