In October 2022, Mortal Kombat series co-creator Ed Boon admitted that he would really like to add a pink ninja named Floyd to the game. With the release of Conan the Barbarian in Mortal Kombat 1, the developer’s dream came true.
Data miner TheThiny posted on his microblog a recording of a secret fight with Floyd unlocked by a fan, which takes place in a new arena for the game – a field flooded with the light of the setting sun from the Mortal Kombat 1 announcement trailer.
Floyd’s entry into battle is preceded by a stylish cutscene in which ninjas of other colors flash in front of the pink one, after which the inscription appears on the screen: “You found Floyd.”
The fight with Floyd opens after completing 37 secret in-game tests – the list of them is known, and users try to figure out the conditions for completing them together.
Fans are still analyzing Floyd’s moveset, which, at first glance, combines the attacks of different characters from the game, and also cannot stop admiring the new arena (opens after winning a secret battle).
Conan the Barbarian has become the penultimate guest character in Mortal Kombat 1 – from January 21, he is available to owners of Kombat Pack 2 or the Khaos Reigns add-on, and can be purchased separately from the 28th.
The last additional fighter from Kombat Pack 2 will be the Terminator T-1000 – the release date is unknown. Due to the failure of Khaos Reigns, the third Kombat Pack and the second add-on were rumored to be cancelled.
