Significant progress has been made in the development of the shadPS4 emulator, which for the first time allowed Bloodborne to truly run outside of the PS4. FromSoftware’s cult gothic action game can now actually be played on PC.

Let us remind you that back in early July, shadPS4 did not allow you to go beyond the main menu, and now – with an update to version 0.2.1 and unofficial patches – it is able to draw graphics and even lets users into the game itself.
It’s worth noting that the Bloodborne experience on shadPS4 is still far from optimal: the frame rate is highly unstable, graphical artifacts periodically hinder the playthrough, the sound simply does not work in places, and the game is prone to crashes.

Despite all the problems, shadPS4 users have already posted dozens of minutes of Bloodborne gameplay through the emulator (see playlist below). Be careful: the videos contain flashes and flickering lights, which can cause epileptic seizures.
Judging by the videos, the emulator provides access to most of Bloodborne: both the starting and last locations, story bosses from the second half of the game, and areas from The Old Hunters add-on were highlighted in the excerpts.
In the comments to numerous videos of Bloodborne gameplay on PC, players are amazed at the progress of development of shadPS4. “This is not a dream,” notafortnitegamer assures a doubting user under a video from blogger BrutalSam.
Fans hope that Sony, which owns the rights to Bloodborne, will not follow the path of Nintendo and will not block the development of shadPS4, but such rapid progress of the utility will certainly attract the attention of the rights holder.
