Generative AI has become increasingly important in the field of interactive entertainment in recent years, but Zelnick believes that we shouldn’t expect any gaming hits based on this technology.

In an interview with Carolyn Dailey for her book The Creative Entrepreneur, the Take-Two chief said he was “not worried about AI creating hits.”

«”Because [AI] is based on existing data. It looks to the past. Big hits are forward-looking and have to be created from nothing,” Zelnick said.

The head of Take-Two believes that to create something truly successful in the gaming industry, you need to “hire the best creators, mentor them to follow their passions, try new things, and stay away from imitation.”
