The Polygon portal, citing a press release from Hachette Boardgames, reported that the digital card game Gwent from the action role-playing game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from CD Projekt Red will soon become a board game.
Let us remember that CDPR has already released physical Gwent cards for special editions of The Witcher 3 and operated digital Gwent: The Witcher. Card game”, but at the end of 2023 its support was discontinued.
Now, Hachette Boardgames, in collaboration with publisher No Loading Game and with the “full support” of CD Projekt Red, is set to release a tabletop version of the fan-favorite in-game activity from The Witcher 3.
The desktop version of Gwent will go on sale during the third quarter (that is, from July to September) of 2025. The release has been confirmed for the US (where the set will cost $40) and the UK (£44).

According to Hachette Boardgames marketing manager Rob Trounce, Gwent will be one of the most popular games of 2025 and a great gift for fans of The Witcher and card competitions.
