GOG’s Classic Game Preservation Program has added 27 more hits, including Silent Hill 4, Deus Ex and F.E.A.R.

At the Future Games Show: Spring Showcase 2025, CD Projekt’s digital store GOG announced a significant expansion of its game preservation program, the GOG Preservation Program.

As it became known, with the March update, the Preservation Program was replenished with 27 more classic games, including the platinum edition of the original horror shooter F.E.A.R., which was promised against the backdrop of the closure of Monolith Productions.

The program also included the cult horror Silent Hill 4: The Room. The game was not only made compatible with Windows 10/11, but also added controller support and missing ghostly manifestations that did not work in the PC version.

• Privateer 2: The Darkening;
• Silent Hill 4: The Room;
• Tomb Raider: Underworld, Anniversary и Legend;
• Ultima 1+2+3;
• Ultima 4+5+6;
• Ultima 8 Gold Edition;
• Vampire: The Masquerade — Redemption;
• Wing Commander 1+2.

As a reminder, under the Preservation Program, GOG specialists undertake to maintain the compatibility of classic games with modern and future PCs. The initiative was launched in November.

With the March update, the Preservation Program includes 141 classic games. By the end of 2025, GOG aims to increase that number to 500, and eventually include the store’s entire catalog.

GOG also reminded us about the Dreamlist, a public vote for games that users would like to see return to digital sale. According to GOG, every vote brings the dream closer to reality.
