Mea Culpa will tell the story of the Penitent, who decides to go in search of his sword from the first Blasphemous. The addon will add two large biomes with bosses, four tasks, an alternative ending for the hero, new prayers and nine fresh music tracks.
The game will also receive a free True Torment update, which should expand some existing locations, add unique abilities and a New Game + mode.
Blasphemous 2 was released on August 24, 2023 on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X and S, and reached PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November.
