“Get ready to be disappointed”: an insider revealed when the new State of Play will take place

Almost four months have passed since PlayStation’s last State of Play gaming presentation, but the next show, according to Giant Bomb journalist Jeff Grubb, won’t have to wait long.

Last week, on September 12, Grubb said he expected State of Play to be “about 12 days away,” and on yesterday’s Game Mess Mornings podcast he said the show would “almost certainly happen on the 24th.”

Grubb doesn’t know for sure whether a remaster for PC and PS5 of the post-apocalyptic open-world action game Horizon Zero Dawn, which received an age rating in the United States, will appear at the State of Play, but “it would make sense.”

According to Grubb, as part of the September issue of State of Play, another re-release from PlayStation is expected to be announced – “even less exciting” than Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

The journalist did not specify which project of the Japanese platform holder we are talking about, but added that this is definitely not an updated version of the cult gothic action game Bloodborne.

Grubb added that PlayStation studios have a lot of big and interesting games in development, but you shouldn’t expect them to appear at the next State of Play: “As always, prepare to be disappointed.”

The May State of Play presentation included the announcement of the platformer Astro Bot, the PC version of God of War Ragnarok and the release date of the remake of Silent Hill 2, as well as another demonstration of the already closed hero shooter Concord.
