Amid rumors circulating on the Internet about Half-Life 3, the voice actor of one of the most mysterious characters in the series unexpectedly added additional fuel to the fire of fan excitement.

We are talking about the American artist Michael Shapiro, known for his role as the mysterious G-Man in the Half-Life series. On New Year’s Eve, the actor addressed fans with festive congratulations.

«I wish that the next quarter of a century brings as many unexpected surprises as the first of the millennium. Again, time flows and so does music. See you in the new year! ” Shapiro said in a short video (embedded below).

It is also worth noting that Shapiro voiced the mentioned wishes in the specific voice of a G-Man. In addition, the post was accompanied by the hashtags #Valve, #Halflife, #GMan and #2025. Is Valve preparing an announcement for Half-Life in 2025?

As fans noted, the post with New Year’s wishes was the first for Shapiro (not counting the response to a deleted message in 2022) in the last four years. In December 2020, the actor congratulated Valve on the award received by Half-Life: Alyx.

The message sent particularly zealous fans into conspiracy mode. For example, one player is confident that the connection between the actor’s tweet and his YouTube channel (the tweet’s visuals are taken from the Best Long Dog video) directly indicates the approach of Half-Life 3.

In a documentary about the development of Half-Life 2, Valve employees explained why Half-Life 3 was never released after 20 years. Several versions of the game were cancelled, but it looks like the studio has picked up the project again.
