Funcom has announced the full system requirements for Dune: Awakening and revealed how it will develop the game

Norwegian publisher and developer Funcom (Conan Exiles) has revealed the full system requirements and distribution model for Dune: Awakening, an open-world survival MMO based on Dune.

Let us remind you that the minimum and recommended system requirements were and remain available on the game’s Steam page, and now the creators of Dune: Awakening have presented two more configurations – intermediate and maximum.

The full system requirements for Dune: Awakening are as follows:

Minimum requirements (1080p, 30 frames / s, low graphics settings)

  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit);
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-7400 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200;
  • Video card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB), AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT (6 GB) or Intel Arc A380;
  • RAM: 16 GB;
  • Storage space: 60 GB (SSD).

Medium requirements (1080p, 60 fps, medium graphics settings)

  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit);
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600;
  • Video card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 (8 GB), AMD Radeon RX 6600 (8 GB) or Intel Arc A770;
  • RAM: 16 GB;
  • Storage space: 75 GB (SSD).

Recommended requirements (1440p, 60 fps, high graphics settings)

  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit);
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X;
  • Video card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 (8 GB), AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (12 GB) or Intel Arc B580;
  • RAM: 16 GB;
  • Storage space: 75 GB (SSD).

Ultra requirements (4K, 60 fps, Ultra graphics settings)

  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit);
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X;
  • Video card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 (12 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT (12 GB);
  • RAM: 16 GB;
  • Storage space: 75 GB (SSD).

At launch, Dune: Awakening will offer support for Nvidia DLSS 4, the “latest version” of AMD FSR and Intel XeSS 2, Razer Chroma RGB synchronized lighting technologies, and Razer Sensa HD Haptics intelligent haptic feedback.

The developers also reminded that Dune: Awakening will be released immediately in full version, bypassing the early access stage. The game will not require a subscription. The project will develop through free updates and paid add-ons.

On Monday, March 24, Funcom will open pre-orders for Dune: Awakening and share details on the different editions. That same day, the studio’s Twitch channel will host a live stream (starting at 20:00 Moscow time) showing off the gameplay.

Dune: Awakening will be released on May 20 on PC (Steam), and will reach PS5, Xbox Series X and S later. Players will have to find water sources and spice emissions, build shelters, participate in large-scale PvP battles and avoid sandworms.
