FromSoftware has weakened the final boss of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree – the expansion will be easier to complete

The final boss of the large-scale addition Shadow of the Erdtree to the open-world action role-playing game Elden Ring gave players a lot of problems, but with the release of the new patch it became a little more meek.

Publisher Bandai Namco and developers from FromSoftware announced the release of update 1.14 for Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree. It includes a number of balance adjustments, including the final boss of the addon.

The patch changed the behavior of the enemy at the beginning of the battle, reduced the damage (including the player’s stamina) and the radius of some attacks, and also “corrected” others, in addition improving the visibility of the effects when the boss performed certain techniques.

Judging by the first reviews on the ResetEra and Reddit forums (links later in the paragraph will contain spoilers), the double strike with crossed swords has become easier to dodge, and the “light show” in the second phase of the boss does not interfere with visibility so much.

Some players have already started boasting that they beat the final boss of Shadow of the Erdtree before the release of patch 1.14

Version 1.14 also includes balance changes in PvP and in general (equipment, weapon skills, spells), numerous bug fixes, and “several performance improvements.”

Finally, FromSoftware reminded that unstable operation of the game on PC can be caused by mistakenly activated ray tracing and third-party mouse software.

Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree are available on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. Before the weakening in patch 1.14, the final boss of the add-on was conquered by an ordinary goldfish.
