As it became known, a month before the first anniversary, total digital sales and shipments of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon to retail stores exceeded 3 million units.

«Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon has sold over 3 million copies! Thank you, Ravens, new and old, who overcame the fire and flew on someone else’s wings,” reads the developers’ message.

The game takes place in a future where interstellar travel has become commonplace. In the story, the hero, an independent mercenary, arrives on the planet Rubicon 3 in search of a mysterious substance called coral.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon was released on August 25, 2023 on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. The game earned high marks from critics and “very positive” reviews on Valve.

FromSoftware President Hidetaka Miyazaki called Armored Core VI a success in a post-release interview, although “not everything [in the game] turned out perfect, and we still have room for improvement.”
