Metacritic has already accumulated about a hundred reviews of Star Wars Outlaws with an average rating of 77-78% depending on the platform. On OpenCritic the picture is similar – 76% with 57 reviews (75% of critics recommend the game).
In the story, Kay Vess, along with the animal Nyx, will have to travel across planets and work for various crime syndicates in order to pull off “one of the greatest heists in the history of the Outer Rim.”
Critics have called Nix one of the main stars of Star Wars Outlaws
Reviewers rave about the game’s Star Wars feel, colorful characters (particularly Nyx), fun main adventure, and reputation system.
The disadvantages of the project include boring gameplay, mediocre stealth and monotonous missions, lack of original ideas, graphical downgrade (at least on PS5) and unsatisfactory technical condition.
Unlike other open world games from Ubisoft, Star Wars Outlaws doesn’t feel bloated
Critics agreed that Star Wars Outlaws was a fun adventure (especially for Star Wars fans) that failed to live up to its potential.
Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30 on PC (Ubisoft Connect, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, but owners of premium editions will have access three days earlier. A season pass with two story additions is already planned for the game.
