As promised, on April 19, as part of the Japanese Star Wars Celebration festival, developers from Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment presented the tactical strategy Star Wars Zero Company in the spirit of XCOM.

Set in the twilight of the Clone Wars, Star Wars Zero Company puts players in command of the mercenary unit Zero Company, led by former Republic officer Hawks.

In the trailer, Hawks is joined by clone trooper Trick, Umbaran sniper Luco Bronc, Mandalorian marksman Cly Kullervo, and Tognath Jedi Padawan Tel.

Players will be able to customize the appearance, equipment, and skills of operatives (including Hawkes). It is reported that the project, like XCOM, will feature permanent death – even characters with a backstory are not immune to it.

Hawkes and the members of Zero Company must overcome their differences to complete the “nearly impossible” task before them: neutralizing a growing threat that could consume the entire galaxy.

They promise one of the largest and most interactive maps in the history of Star Wars games, powerful synergies for fighters when upgrading, meaningful decisions, a harsh and realistic original story about an unprecedented conflict.

Star Wars Zero Company is expected to release in 2026 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Development is led by former Firaxis Games and XCOM series art director Greg Foertsch.
