Electronic Arts Publishing House introduced the first gameplay personnel of the next game in the Battlefield military shooter series and announced the Battlefield Labs initiative for its large -scale public testing.
Recall that the new Battlefield has the largest resources in the history of the franchise and is created by the efforts of four studios – Dice, Cryiterion, Motive Studio and Ripple Effect – which, as it turned out, form the combination of Battlefield Studios.
Dice is working on a multiplayer, Motive – on plot missions and cards for a network game, Criterion – over a solitary campaign, and Ripple Effect – over a new experience for a franchise (according to rumor, this is a royal battle).
The development of the next Battlefield is still at the “early stages” (the game has reached the “Prealphs”), but enters the “Critical Phase” when the team requires players’ feedback to determine priorities and areas to improve.
Battlefield Labs participants will be able to test almost all the elements of the game – weapons, gadgets, transport, classes, modes and maps. The first wave (sign up here) will include several thousand players from North America and Europe.
Battlefield Studios and Battlefield Labs were presented in a five-minute roller (attached above), which includes about 9 seconds of gameplay of the next Battlefield.
The events of the new Battlefield will unfold in modern surroundings, and the game itself is positioned as a return to the roots. According to the Tom Henderson insider, last winter the release was scheduled for October 2025.
