Arkane Studios co-founder and Dishonored co-creator Raphael Colantonio spoke about a possible return to the action-adventure stealth series in a recent episode of the Quad Damage Podcast.

Colantonio says he would “love to” work on Dishonored 3 “in theory”: “I could see myself working on Dishonored 3, it’s been so long. Why not?”
Colantonio admitted that after the release of the original Dishonored, a sequel was the last thing he wanted to do for the next four years of his life, but has now taken a break from the franchise.
The developer revealed that he, along with Deathloop director Dinga Bakaba and Dishonored co-director Harvey Smith, has documented ideas for a threequel, but sees no point in talking about them.
«”Which of those three versions will see the light of day is a science fiction conversation. So many people have scattered. Harvey is no longer at Arkane. I’m not at Arkane, and Dinga is working on [Marvel’s Blade],” Colantonio lamented.
Marvel’s Blade Rumored to Release in 2027
It was previously reported that Bethesda Softworks had abandoned the development of Dishonored 3 in favor of the potentially cheaper Deathloop. However, the company’s 2020 documents did include the threequel in its future release schedule.
Arkane Studios’ Austin division, which worked with the Lyon office on the first Dishonored and released Prey in 2017, was shuttered last spring following the failure of the co-op shooter Redfall.
