Bosses were one of the most controversial elements of Kojima Productions and game designer Hideo Kojima’s courier action game Death Stranding, and these sections will be skippable in the sequel.

Kojima, in a recent episode of the Koji10 radio show, mentioned that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will feature an accessibility setting that allows players to skip bosses. The option is intended for inexperienced players.
The feature is activated on the screen after dying in a boss fight. The new option will allow you to get acquainted with the narrative content of the battle without having to participate in it.
According to Kojima, users who choose to skip the boss will be shown illustrations and a text description of the fight. The developer compared the experience to playing a visual novel.
In a discussion on the ResetEra forum, participants praised the expansion of accessibility in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, but criticized the decision: instead of improving combat segments, the developers will simply allow them to be skipped.
According to the plot of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Courier Sam Bridges will again save humanity from extinction, this time establishing connections between people outside the United States.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will launch on June 26, 2025, exclusively for PS5, priced at $70 for the standard edition. During Koji10, Kojima said the game’s development was 95% complete.
