At the end of September, videos from the BiliBili service began circulating on the Internet, in which the fantasy action role-playing game Black Myth: Wukong by Game Science studio appears in the form of a first-person shooter. Until recently, the mod was only available on Chinese sites, but has now completed its journey to the West.

The DSOGaming portal noticed that the Gun Mod modification authored by enthusiast MaiKeJieKeXun QiLaZhiZhiYing recently became available in the Nexus Mods service. Compared to the original Chinese release, the mod includes an update to version 1.1 with various fixes and improvements.
Gun Mod adds firearms to Black Myth: Wukong – the AK-47 assault rifle and the AWP sniper rifle – as well as a time slowdown mechanic with a 30-second reload. In addition, it is possible to switch between first and third person modes.
The description of Gun Mod on the Nexus Mods page is entirely in Chinese, but based on the machine translation, installation requires the UE4SS utility (included in the download). The mod files must be placed in the b1 folder of the Black Myth: Wukong directory and added -fileopenlog to the game launch options on Steam.
Black Myth: Wukong was released on August 20 on PC (Steam, EGS, WePlay) and PS5, and the version for Xbox Series X and S is delayed for one reason or another. The game is based on the Chinese novel Journey to the West. Sales of the project in a month exceeded 20 million copies, and a major addition is currently in development.
