Corsair clarifies GTA VI PC release date in early 2026

American manufacturer of gaming computer equipment and peripherals Corsair Gaming recently announced the release date for the PC of the crime action game GTA VI from Rockstar Games, but this information, as it turned out, was unreliable.

Recall that in Corsair’s latest report, VP of Finance Ronald van Veen mentioned that “as far as [he] understands,” the PC version of GTA VI will be released in early 2026.

Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive haven’t even confirmed the release of GTA VI on PC yet, so IGN journalists decided to ask Corsair where the company got such insider information.

As a Corsair representative clarified for IGN, Ronald van Veen’s statements about the timing of the GTA VI release on PC are just speculation. He also confirmed that Rockstar or Take-Two have not provided the company with data on the game’s release window.

While GTA VI for PC has yet to be confirmed, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently highlighted the growing importance of the platform and hinted that it would be unprofitable for the company to skip a PC release.

GTA VI is scheduled to be released this fall on PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Former Rockstar North technical director Obbe Vermeij believes that the PC version will only see the light of day in 2027.

GTA VI will take place in the state of Leonidas, and the main characters will be criminals Jason and Lucia. According to rumors, the game will feature a radio station with American music producer and performer DJ Khaled as the host.
