The multiplayer medieval slasher Chivalry 2 from Torn Banner Studios has received many content patches since its release in June 2021, but the Regicide update, released in May, turned out to be the last for the game.

In an address to fans, the developers said that at the launch of Chivalry 2 they aimed to expand the game with post-release patches at least twice, and with the release of Regicide they consider the task “more than accomplished.”
Over the course of three years of active support, Chivalry 2 received 11 content updates, which brought with them additional maps, factions, features (like battles on horseback), items, elements of the progression system, and so on.
The end of active support for Chivalry 2 will not result in death: maintenance and correction of critical errors will continue, servers (official, unofficial) and player selection will remain in working order.

«Although every story has its own ending, we know that many will be upset by the news [of the end of active support for Chivalry 2] – this is not the end for the Chivalry franchise,” the developers assured.
Torn Banner Studios has confirmed that it is focusing on working on a new multiplayer project in the Chivalry universe. In addition, the studio continues to work on the cooperative action-horror No More Room in Hell 2.
«We have been expanding and strengthening the team to meet these challenges and focus on ensuring that the next Chivalry will blow the minds of players,” concluded Torn Banner Studios.
